Zebra at Golden Hour

I don't always paint Safari animals but when I do

It may be referenced loosely from  @sandystolzmanphotography who has actually been on Safari! This 18x24x.75 adorable zebra was painted LIVE on canvas at the last @artguildoforangepark Gala and did not find its forever home. So I brought it back to the studio and enhanced it with oil glazing to give it the evening tonalism and gold light. It's a much smoother look and I love the back light of golden hour. 

*This painting includes my signature hidden butterfly - a quiet detail found in my newer oil works. Each butterfly is unique and placed with intention, becoming part of the landscape itself.
