From Sophie's Exhibit at JAX Airport, these small 8x8 oil paintings are painted on gold leaf and silver leaf, with copper highlights in the flaws, similar to the Japanese practice of Kintsugi - treating breakage as a vital part of the object’s history rather than a flaw to be disguised.. Each one now arrives wrapped in a naked wood floater frame and ready to hang.
