Gladys in the Cone Flowers

Summer is coming to a close and it would not be complete without these amazing coneflowers from my brothers farm with his very last one sweet chicken Gladys peeking from under the porch. She's survived through all the others, through the Hawks sweeping through the yard and the raccoon massacre of '24. She's a tough cookie Buff Orpington And if they tend to forget her at evening time, she comes and taps on the window to remind them it's her time to turn in. She's an old lady and she needs her rest. She's a part of the farm and I had to capture her as part of my summer notes.
