The One with the birds

This 30x40x1.5 mixed media stolen moment was captured on a sunset evening on the back end of the Kiawah river community development. With marsh that is yet untouched, the Heron and egrets are free to roam.

Art that is deemed a Mixed media has 3 or more mediums in the creation process:

• Originally painted in acrylics,
• the sky has now been touched up in oils
• Now with added gold leaf in the sky, and the evening glow highlights on the salt Myrtle as the moon begins to rise.*
• it contains actual shells in the bottom foliage.

*This painting includes my signature hidden butterfly - a quiet detail found in my newer oil works. Each butterfly is unique and placed with intention, becoming part of the landscape itself
