This Original Art 8x10 Acrylic canvas Textured Blue Morpho Butterfly is an original, handmade artwork featuring an impressionistic style of heavy textured painting. Created by artist Sophie Dare in Florida, this unique piece is one of a kind and signed by the artist. The painting depicts a colorful Blue Morpho Butterfly. It makes a perfect addition to any art collection or as a statement piece in a home or office.

Butterfly sightings have different meanings in varying cultures, but typically their fragile brief life represents bereavement of a life cut short, and brings memories of those we have lost. After losing her 8 yr old son to heart disease, Sophie found solace in her creativity of painting butterflies and small creatures, and sharing their beauty. She now hides a butterfly hidden in her larger oil paintings.

The edges and sides are painted black.

Medium 8x10 canvas

Condition: This painting is in great condition and ready to be packaged and shipped to you – right out of my Florida studio! A large segment of my work is nature inspired from our travels throughout the South. I share the reminders of beauty that is right in front of us everyday if we only go out and see it!
